Sewlutions – 10 Year Reflection

When I look back over the past 10 years I feel super proud of what we have accomplished. Sewlutions started as a small “on the side” type business from home, which started with sewing and alterations. As our customer base expanded, soon our business was too big and too busy for an at home environment. We made the decision to expand to a bricks and mortar location, and within a few short months, we were settled into our new location at 645 Broadway St. It took a lot of courage, determination, and long hours to keep it going; and it’s been an amazing journey.

This May 2018, we will be celebrating 10 years as a small local business in Wyoming ON. While this was not the “hometown” we grew up in, it has most definitely become our home. We have been very blessed to have the opportunity to serve the people in our community both far a wide, and from every walk of life. Over the last decade we have shared with your families many weddings, celebrations of life, birthdays, anniversaries and births. We have experienced both laughter and tears, and have hugged so many of our customers that we just consider you family now. We have watched some of our youngest customers who we used to hem pants for, now returning to our shop and ordering shirts for their business. I think that’s the best feeling of all to have customers as loyal as that to keep coming back year after year.

It’s not always about the money (although it does help pay the bills). Success, to me, is how happy I feel when I see my customers leave my store with their custom gifts, or their corporate apparel. To know that you have done something for someone that they will love for years to come brings a smile to my face as I write this. I love that no matter where I am, I always see a person wearing a piece of my clothing that I have embroidered walking around in our communities. Whether it be at a ball diamond, skating rink or school, it always gives me pride. We have been able to grow our business to a place where we can give back, and have donated thousands of dollars to community groups to help them grow.

We have expanded three times in 10 years growing bigger and better each year to serve our customers. We will be planning a celebration in the near future so I hope you will take a minute out of your day to stop in and reminisce with us. We THANK YOU with all our hearts for your continued support of small local business. Without you, we wouldn’t be here.
